Places to visit on day trips

Finland’s largest island, Hailuoto is known for its nature and lighthouse. The ferry ride is an experience in itself and and in the winter there is also an ice road.

Great places to visit with children include Hoplop, activity park SuperPark and the Escurial Zoo and Flower Park. You can experience the nature and the wonders of the bird world at the Liminganlahti nature center.

Köykkyri recreational area offers a wide range of ourdoor activities all year round. The area is ideal for all kinds of family outings and outdoor activities, such as frisbee, beach volley, cross-country running, jogging, soccer or just enjoying the great outdoors. In winter, there is a 12 km illuminated ski trail network and the Marjakammi and Pertinlenkki ski trails.
